Shooting results in death of 17-year-old

A 17-year-old Long Beach resident is dead after a shooting that occurred on March 31.
At approximately 11:50pm that day, Long Beach Police Department (LBPD) officers responded to the 1300 block of East 11th Street to investigate a possible shooting. They located a male who had been struck by gunfire in the upper torso. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics responded and transported the victim, in critical condition, to a local hospital, where he subsequently succumbed to his injuries.
The victim has been identified as Chad Sokhan Hang of Long Beach.
At press time, no one was in custody and no suspect information was available. A motive for the shooting is unknown, and the investigation remains ongoing.
