Long Beach’s Choura Events has announced the launch of its Designer Lounge Furniture Collection.

The collection has already been a glamorous backdrop at numerous Hollywood events, including the 2011 Grammy and Golden Globe Awards after-parties and several of television’s popular wedding shows, including My Fair Wedding and Bridezillas.
“Everyone planning an event wants theirs to stand out,” said Ryan Choura, CEO of Choura Events. “Our furniture does that based on style, color and variety.”
At the helm of industry trends, Choura Events is responding to the high demand from clients for this type of furniture over the past decade, both for indoor and outdoor events. Although many event companies offer furniture rentals in an attempt to spice up events, most consist of inexpensive, simply made vinyl options. Choura Events’ Designer Lounge Furniture Collection, however, stands out with its oddly shaped sofas, oversized chairs, colorful coffee tables and ornate day beds.
“This is the swankiest thing I have ever offered my clients. Every time we deliver, they are wowed,” declared Choura.
Many times when people think about events, they visualize the typical 60-inch round tables. However, as the young CEO and owner of a full-service, integrated event company, Choura is out to change such expected notions, with, for example, layouts that include oversized chairs surrounding a fire pit.
“Expectations for an exciting event experience are quickly evolving,” he says. “But by staying one or two steps ahead of trends, we are able to exceed our clients’ expectations, and they are entirely stoked at the advanced sense of style we provide for them.”
The collection has also been featured at some of Southern California’s premiere events— not only the Grammy and Golden Globe Awards after-parties, but also the Port of Long Beach’s 100th anniversary and White Light White Night benefitting Walk With Sally in Redondo Beach.
“As a result of the new furniture collection, we have seen growth in three parts of our company: previous customers who were not utilizing us for these items and have returned because of them; clients who didn’t realize we had this capability are now choosing our company for their events; and our own sales team’s use of the furniture to enhance events,” Choura said. The Designer Lounge Furniture Collection has resulted in a 10 percent increase in revenue for Choura Events’ Southern California event business.
